DHX MEDIA SECURES DISTRIBUTIONS RIGHTS FOR MY SPY FAMILY

Brand new live-action series produced by Kindle Entertainment

Halifax, NS – 10 July 2007 – DHX Media Ltd. (AIM & TSX ticker: “DHX”), a leading independent international producer and distributor of television programming and interactive content, has secured the worldwide television and home entertainment distribution rights to Turner Broadcasting’s My Spy Family (26×22’), produced by Kindle Entertainment. This increases DHX’s portfolio of distinctive live-action comedy and continues to build on the strategy of increasing international distribution and expanding the television library.

Neil Court, President of DHX Media’s distribution subsidiary Decode Enterprises Ltd., said: “My Spy Family is the first non-Canadian series we’ve picked up for distribution. It fits well into our portfolio of smart, live action series for tweens. We have developed a good relationship with the Cartoon Network as a co-producer and programme supplier, so securing the distribution rights for one of their new properties is a great achievement. My Spy Family has strong scripts and performances. We are due to launch this exciting new series at MIPCOM in October and we are confident that it will prove to be an important part of our expanding library of series for tweens.”

Michael Donovan, Chairman and CEO of DHX Media, said: “Third-party distribution deals of this type create a new income stream for DHX. We will continue to pursue opportunities to acquire distribution rights that complement our production output.”

About My Spy Family
Aimed at kids aged six to 14, My Spy Family centers on the Bannons, a family of ex-spies who live in an ordinary looking house, on an ordinary looking street, in an ordinary looking part of a very ordinary town. Trained to foil super criminals, overthrow dictators and leap from planes without parachutes, this remarkably not ordinary family are now squashed together in a cramped semi and facing their toughest mission to date: retirement!

My Spy Family is produced by Bernard Krichefski and directed by Dominic Macdonald and Tom Poole. Executive producers are Anne Brogan, Connal Orton, Cecilia Persson and Daniel Lennard. The show is written by Paul Alexander (My Parents Are Aliens, My Family, My Hero) and will air on the Turner’s Boomerang channel from September.

DHX Media has a reputation for producing and distributing smart, character-driven live-action series, with its live-action Naturally Sadie and Radio Free Roscoe series airing on major broadcast platforms around the world. The new series The Latest Buzz has just been commissioned for a second season of 26 half-hour episodes by The Family Channel in Canada.
