PEANUTS BUILDS OUT COLLECTIBLE BUSINESS AND ANNOUNCES FOUR NEW DEALS WITH CATEGORY LEADERS

New York (May 8, 2019) – As the Peanuts gang lifts off into space to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 10 and gears up for the brand’s 70th Anniversary in 2020, Peanuts Worldwide has signed four new licensees in the collectible category, Kahootz Toys, Mondo Tees, Squishable, and Super7.

Kahootz’s line of Peanuts Colorforms is available now at retailers around the country, including Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Hallmark. Mondo Tees will offer limited edition silkscreen art prints and posters of classic Schulz. Squishable will develop a line of specialty, oversized plush focusing on Snoopy and his pal Woodstock, premiering this summer. Super7 will produce a line of action figures, accessories, puzzles and much more to be sold at Super7.com and other retail outlets, beginning in July.

“Expanding our presence in the collectible aisle is an important part of our 70th anniversary strategy. Kahootz Toys, Mondo Tees, Squishable, and Super7 are leaders in the collectible business, with high quality product that we feel will resonate with lifelong fans, as well as kids,” says Lindsay Martinez, Vice President, Hardlines and Partnerships, Peanuts Worldwide.

About Peanuts:

Charles M. Schulz first introduced the world to the Peanuts characters in 1950, when the Peanuts comic strip debuted in seven newspapers. Since then, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang have made an indelible mark on popular culture. Peanuts animated specials and series air on major networks and streaming services, including ABC, Cartoon Network and Boomerang in the U.S., Family Channel in Canada, and the WildBrain network on YouTube worldwide. Fans also enjoy Peanuts through thousands of consumer products around the world, amusement parks attractions, cultural events, social media, and a daily comic strip available in all formats from traditional to digital. In 2018, Peanuts partnered with NASA on a multi-year Space Act Agreement designed to inspire a passion for space exploration and STEM among the next generation of students. The Peanuts characters and related intellectual property are 41% owned by DHX Media (TSX: DHX, NASDAQ: DHXM), 39% owned by Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., and 20% owned by family of Charles M.
