Job Title: Content Coordinator (1 Year Contract)
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada


  • Responsible for the quality control of all new series assets that are delivered to DHX Media and handle rejection protocols;
  • Track all incoming assets against provided asset lists and schedules and alert acquisitions supervisor of any missed deadlines;
  • Responsible for naming and filing of all assets into the Media asset management systems that fall within set library protocols;
  • Ensure all files are set-up and functioning correctly in Media Asset Management systems and that screener files are working properly;
  • Upload all required support material to the client facing asset management system in a timely manner and ensure all design elements for that system are up to date;
  • Responsible for archiving protocols, unarchiving required by workflows and storage clean-up protocols;
  • Respond to requests about missing files;
  • Consult with Library team when assets outside of the set protocols and existing metadata schemas arrive;
  • Assist on special projects and tape movement as required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the receipt, quality control and ingestion of all the new series assets going into our Asset Management systems;
  • Work with various internal and external teams to ensure all files are correct and can be easily accessed.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of assets including videos, scripts, legal documents, files, music tracks, artwork and much more;
  • You will get to know the quality control standards for all of these assets;
  • Work actively with many different teams and asset management systems both internal facing and external facing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in the Television or Film industry;
  • Worked with a variety of Video, audio and marketing assets;
  • Good understanding of the video quality control process and ingest process;
  • Adept at catching technical issues and enjoy the problem solving process;
  • You are someone who likes to understand the big picture on any project and the structure you work within;
  • You enjoy making order out of chaos and derive pleasure from knowing people can easily find what they need;
  • You are adept at catching technical issues and enjoy the problem solving process.
