The Role

You will be responsible for the quality control and ingestion of all television and distribution assets going into our Asset Management systems. You will work with various internal and external teams to ensure all files are correct and can be easily accessed.

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of assets including videos, audio files and closed captions. You will get to know the quality control standards for all of these assets and will work actively with many different teams and asset management systems both internal facing and external facing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the distribution library for ingestion into MAM (Avid), consisting of cleaning up folder structures and naming conventions, QC’ing all files, and capturing predetermined metadata
  • Processes and QCs all new TV masters as they are received
  • Ingests content into the Media Asset Management system, tracks the ingest success, and QCs the resulting records
  • Assists the Content Supervisor with the oversight and management of the digital library, including the archiving to and unarchiving from LTO back-ups
  • Assists on special projects as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in the Television or Film industry
  • Experience working with a variety of AV assets, in varying formats and frame rates
  • Working knowledge of MAM, specifically Avid an asset
  • Quick learner, task focused, and adapts to new technical platforms with ease
  • Solid attention to detail and adept at catching technical issues
  • Strong collaborative and problem solving skills
